Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Jean-Xavier de Lestrade started following the case immediately following Kathleen’s death in 2001 in Durham, North Carolina. His ten-episode series covering the murder, the trial, and its aftermath premiered in 2004.
De Lestrade has since filmed three more episodes. Netflix will be airing the new episodes, along with the original 2004 series, on June 8.
