Definitely The Shining. The first time I watched that film I don’t think I could even sleep… The film isn’t exceptionally gory, but there are a few scenes (which I won’t spoil in case anyone out there hasn’t seen it) that are grotesque & frightening. It really freaked me out at the time. The cinematography is actually really nice, eerie, kind of dreamy… but the whole thing is just creepy. Very creepy…
