Born: February 9, 1987 in Santa Ana, CA
Height: 6’0

Personal Quote:

“I want to do everything. I’m a producer at heart. Eventually, when I can produce the way I want to, my acting’s going to help fuel that. And not just vehicles for myself – I’m a member of this film society, and I want to contribute. If you’re in the industry, you can’t just take from it; you have to deposit something back to keep it going for the next generation.”

SUMMARY:

In addition to having a very easy name to remember, Michael B. Jordan has some serious acting chops and charisma. With his high-profile role as ‘Johnny Storm’ in this summer’s Fantastic Four re-boot, and his upcoming debut as Apollo Creed’s son in Creed (the latest entry in the Rocky franchise), Jordan could find himself on Hollywood’s A-list by Christmas.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Best Known For: All My Children, TV Series (‘Reggie Porter Montgomery’), Friday Night Lights, TV Series (‘Vince Howard’), Chronicle (‘Steve Montgomery’), Fruitvale Station (‘Oscar Grant’), Fantastic Four, 2015 (‘Johnny Storm’)

Breakout Role (according to the masses): Friday Night Lights, TV Series

Breakout Role (according to Leo Craven): Parenthood, TV Series
– I watched a few episodes of FNL, but I didn’t really take notice of Jordan until he appeared on Parenthood as ‘Alex’, a recovering alcoholic who manages a soup kitchen.

Box Office Status: Rising Star

Next Project to Look Out for: Creed (Hits theaters November 25th)

Most Famous Role: Johnny Storm in the 2015 re-boot of Fantastic Four…poor guy not only starred in one of the most panned movies of the summer, but also had to follow in the footsteps of Chris Evans (aka Captain America). Still, had the script and director been better, I think Jordan would have stood out from his peers as the film’s top talent:

AWARDS:

Nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance (MTV Movie Awards) in 2014 for “Fruitvale Station”

ONE LAST THING:

Creed has some fantastic buzz going for it heading into the competitive Thanksgiving weekend:
