First look at the new cinematic masterpiece from Marvel Studios – Guardians of the Galaxy, based on the Marvel Comics and characters of the same name – check it out after the jump:
Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn, stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, and it opens on August 1, 2014.
What does everyone think?
This trailer starts off like Raiders of the Lost Ark, then quickly turns into The Usual Suspects. It could be a mess. But it looks crazy fun! Guaranteed millions in toy and merch sales will be made – the true power of the Tesseract!
Damn, DC really screwed up Green Lantern in film!
Interesting trailer… Looks very much like a spoof type of Sci-fi film but when you have Chris Pratt as the lead role, a talking raccoon, a humanoid tree and factoring in the Marvel ‘tongue-in-cheek’ approach, it was bound to.
However, I think that the next trailer (and there’s always a ‘next’ trailer, once more effects are added) will show more, like Rocket and/or Groot talking and more plot details.
Definitely looking forward to August.
I was hyped for the film before the trailer hit, but now that its out I’m even more interested than before. I loved the cast especially Chris Pratt and John C. Riley, the humour seems brilliant and I can’t wait to see Groot and Rocket Raccoon kick some ass!
