Our good pal Justin McConnell is a busy man these days. A writer and director (Skull World, The Collapsed), Justin is also a Programmer & Special Projects Manager for the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, plus he curates the Little Terrors Monthly Short Film Series in Toronto. He’s also an acquisitions rep for Indican Entertainment. The latest film the company has acquired is JUNKIE, described as a gritty dark comedy from director Adam Mason.

JUNKIE Unveils New Trailer, Distribution & Release Date
Toronto, Canada – Oct. 2, 2013 – Indiecan Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights to Adam Mason’s gritty dark comedy JUNKIE, and will release the title on BluRay & DVD in North America, and across multiple V.O.D. platforms in Canada on November 12th. In addition, JUNKIE will be released on iTunes and all other leading broadband V.O.D. platforms in the U.S. and other English-speaking territories on the same date, in partnership with digital entertainment curator FilmBuff.
JUNKIE – Directed by Adam Mason (The Devil’s Chair, Blood River), and co-written by Mason and Simon Boyes, this twisted darkly-comedic tale of out-of-control addiction stars Daniel Louis Rivas as a man trying to go clean, and Robert LaSardo as his psychotic brother, who will do anything to stand in his way. Also starring Andrew Howard, Tomas Boykin and Tess Panzer.
