Sony Pictures and Deadline Hollywood just released the first picture of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man for the 2012 reboot. As a Spidey freak, my initial thought is that the picture looks straight out of Brian Michael Bendis’ brilliant Ultimate Spider-Man comic. A brutalized and young Peter Parker. If a picture’s worth a thousand words, I like what I’m seeing, and I haven’t been very excited about this forthcoming Mark Webb directed reboot. Maybe I should be a little more openminded?
