Writer/director Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair) stamps the slasher subgenre with their unique visual sense in Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. When a filmmaker (Hannah Einbinder) agrees to make a sequel to the Camp Miasma franchise, she encounters the woman (Gillian Anderson) who played the final girl in the first film. Anderson lives at the location where the original movie was filmed. That’s not weird at all. Should you choose to watch this trailer (and you should, although probably not at work), you’ll get the promise of sexual awakening and cotton-candy colored sequences. You’ll also see gouts of blood the likes of which we haven’t seen since that Kintner boy got chomped in Jaws. Check out the trailer for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma right here!
We’ll find out why this movie got a standing ovation at Cannes when Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma opens in theaters August 7, 2026.
