Say She She – Punk-chic discodelic trio Say She She returns with “Under the Sun,” a dreamy, defiant pro-labour anthem and the second single from their upcoming album Cut & Rewind (out Oct 3 via drink sum wtr). Written during the 2023 Writers’ Strike and sadly echoing today’s ICE tensions, the track pairs resistance with an irresistible disco groove. With sharp harmonies, shimmering funk, and a political bite, Say She She’s rising star status is sealed. The trio just launched their world tour in Louisville on July 25. Catch them on the road, if you can!

Side Hug – Moody Chicago indie outfit Side Hug has announced New Language, their debut full-length album, arriving October 31 via Easy Does It Records. A sonic reinvention shaped by personal upheaval, the 10-track body of work trades their nostalgic indie-folk roots for darker post-punk and shoegaze. Lead single “Biweekly” captures the grind of paycheck-to-paycheck life with groove-heavy urgency. Hands up, if you can relate to that! Produced by Erik Rasmussen, New Language is raw, melodic, and defiantly hopeful in the face of darkness.

SNACKTIME – Philadelphia outfit SNACKTIME proves they are more than “ENOUGH” with their soulful new single. The track is a celebratory anthem that transforms self-doubt into self-love just in time for their Newport Folk Festival debut. Known for their genre-defying grooves and infectious spirit, the band continues a stellar year following the success of April’s “SUNSHINE.” From busking in Rittenhouse Square to touring with Fitz and the Tantrums and playing SXSW, SNACKTIME has become a breakout force. They’ve been big hits on the festival circuit, converting audiences into new fans with their lively stage shows. Get into SNACKTIME.

Breakup Shoes – Phoenix-based indie rockers Breakup Shoes are looking to make major waves with Standing Still, their introspective and sonically adventurous new album, due out October 10. Produced by Charlie Brand of Miniature Tigers, the record reflects frontman Nick Zawisa’s struggle with complacency and the urge to reset. The lead single, “Brainwash,” serves as a great introduction for listeners new to the band. A decade in, Breakup Shoes continues to evolve, fueled by their DIY roots and relentless touring grind.

Summerbruise – Indianapolis-based “fake emo” faves Summerbruise just announced their new album Infinity Guise, dropping September 19 via SideOneDummy Records. It’s their first full-length since becoming a fully collaborative unit. Alongside the news comes “VAN,” a cathartic rush of a new single featuring Carpool’s Stoph Colasanto. Fusing irony and emotional exhaustion, the track tackles social burnout with both wit and weight. Heartbreak and hilarity, Summerbruise has got them in spades.
