This summer, Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau will once again transform into a mecca for music lovers as OSHEAGA returns for its 18th edition from August 1–3, 2025. With a stacked lineup featuring global superstars and rising homegrown talent, OSHEAGA continues to cement its status as one of the world’s premier music festivals and a jewel in Canada’s cultural crown.
The Killers are starting the weekend off strong on Friday night, and if screaming “Mr. Brightside” with thousands of strangers doesn’t sound like a good time, you need to rethink your life choices. Saturday is all about Tyler, The Creator, who’s basically rewriting the hip-hop rulebook with each eccentric and genre-defiant project. His latest album Chromakopia received pretty universal acclaim from fans and critics alike. And Sunday? It’s going to be “brutal” as Olivia Rodrigo closes out the festival. At 21, she’s already got three Grammys, a legion of sad girl disciples, and hits like “drivers license,” “good 4 u,” and “vampire” that will absolutely get the crowd going.
But OSHEAGA isn’t just about the big names. The full lineup is giving something for literally everyone: Glass Animals, Jamie xx, James Hype, Dua Saleh, Future Islands, TV On The Radio, Lucy Dacus (yes, the boygenius one), Sammy Virji, Dominic Fike, Cage The Elephant, and dozens of other artists you’re about to stan.
And because OSHEAGA loves to support Canadian musicians, the festival’s 2025 roster features 21 Canuck artists, including 12 from Québec. Homegrown talent is thriving. We’re talking The Beaches rocking out like the alt-pop queens they are, viral TikTok star turned hitmaker bbno$, broody fave Ekkstacy, electronic dance floor diva Debby Friday, R&B goddess Aqyila, genre-benders like Rau_Ze and Hologramme, and the ever-iconic Ruby Waters. Oh, and let’s not forget rising pop star Sofia Camara, who’s about to have her breakout moment. Honestly, this part of the lineup alone could be its own festival.
Tickets are still available, with single-day tickets starting at $420 CAD. And let’s be real, what better excuse do you need to hop on a train or plane and make a weekend of it? Montreal in the summer is a dream: all cobblestone streets, world-class eats, and nightlife that’ll have you wondering if you even need sleep.
So pack your cutest festival looks, charge your phone for those IG stories, and prepare for three days of music, sun, and unhinged dancing. Maybe I’ll even see you there!
