What’s Going On: Moon Panda, King Cruff, SunYears, Silverstein, Three Days Grace

Summer’s officially here! And What’s Going On has got you covered with five scorching new tracks guaranteed to turn up the temperature. Moon Panda – California/Danish dream-pop quartet Moon Panda has a new album on the way. Dumb Luck, their third album, is set to drop on October 3rd via Moon Panda/Virgin Music Group. The first single, “Lost World, explores the terrifying idea of rebuilding your identity and sense of self after losing love. Frontwoman Maddy Myers and guitarist Gustav Moltke spent years refining the songs alongside bandmates Josh Cabitac and George Godwin, who also produced the album. The group will be hitting the road in North America this fall, so check them out.

King Cruff – Toronto’s been buzzing with those cheeky “Jamaican Men Don’t Cheat” posters, and now we know why. Fast-rising genre-bender King Cruff is behind the bold campaign, tied to his summer banger “BUNCH,” out now via Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada. Produced by !llmind and Don Mills, the track blends hard-hitting hip-hop with dancehall swagger and a bassline that is sure to get those day parties moving. With a viral hit and his first JUNO nod already under his belt, Cruff is turning 2025 into his biggest year yet. All hail the King!

SunYearsPeter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John is back as SunYears with his new single “Spanner In The Works,” a lush, Americana-dusted gem previewing his upcoming album The Song Forlorn (out August 21st via Villa). The release of “Spanner In The Works” is also accompanied by the album’s title track and covers of David Bowie’s “Absolute Beginners” and Sandy Denny’s “Like an Old Fashioned Waltz.” The full SunYears album features collaborations with Lisa Hannigan, Nicole Atkins, Madison Cunningham, and more, weaving a rich tapestry of alternative folk reverie. Real, vulnerable, and melodic. We can’t wait to hear more.

Silverstein – Burlington boys Silverstein bring the heat on their gripping new single “Drain The Blood,” featuring Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker. Out now via UNFD, the track blends raw post-hardcore energy with a sharp critique of AI. The song’s eerie and ominous music video channels Black Mirror and Terminator 2. “Drain The Blood” serves as the second single from their forthcoming album Pink Moon, the upcoming companion to Antibloom, due September 12. Silverstein’s 25th anniversary tour continues worldwide through the end of 2025.

Three Days Grace – Rockers Three Days Grace unleash their fiercest anthem yet with “Dominate,” the explosive lead single from their upcoming album Alienation, due out August 22 via RCA. Fueled by crazy riffs and Matt Walst’s raw vocals, the track is a battle cry for those with something to prove. With its blistering energy and defiant message, the song sets the tone for a bold new chapter from the Canadian rock powerhouses. Decades into their career, Three Days Grace are still kicking ass and rocking hard.
