Trailer Time: Mike Flanagan’s ‘The Life of Chuck’

We’re gonna have to stage an intervention for our pal Mike Flanagan and these Stephen King adaptations! Only the second King-fling of 2025 after Osgood Perkins’ The Monkey, NEON brings a little bit more of a hopeful vibe than a horrific one to theatres this June with The Life of Chuck.

Tom Hiddleston stars as the eponymous Charles “Chuck” Krantz as we trace his life in reverse from death to birth. It’s definitely a more..positive tone than one might expect from King – let’s say more Stand By Me or The Shawshank Redemption than The Stand.

Co-starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay, and Mark Hamill, Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck is the story of an ordinary guy, told in an extraordinary way. Co-written by Flanagan and King, the film won the prestigious People’s Choice Award at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Check out the trailer here ahead of the film’s release in June!
