Jeromme Graham: Greyson, congrats on your new single “2 Cool 4 Me.” Can you tell us a bit about what inspired the making of the song?

Greyson Zane: Thank you! I got inspired to make this song back in the spring of this year. I had been dealing with a couple of people who thought they were “too cool” to hang out with me. The song changed its meaning over the course of writing it, but that’s what originally inspired me to write it.

JG: Your lyrics are so real, relatable, and often tongue-in-cheek. How does it feel knowing that your fans relate so much to your music?

GZ: I think that it’s great that so many people can relate to what I write about because honestly, most of my songs are written about personal experiences that I’ve gone through.

JG: You recently teamed up with FELICITY on the track “Emo Trash.” We love them here! How did that collaboration come about?

GZ: That collaboration came about when Drew and I were downtown one night after a FELICITY show around Christmas of last year. He brought it up and came up with the idea for the song and we never looked back! We eventually wrote and recorded it in June and it was out by the end of August!

JG: You’ve already shared the stage with big names like Memphis May Fire and Escape the Fate. What acts have inspired your sound? And who would you be your dream collaboration?

GZ: I would definitely say that Metallica, Neck Deep, Pierce the Veil, Bring Me the Horizon, MCR and blink-182 have inspired my sound the most. My dream collab would definitely be BMTH (Bring Me The Horizon) hands down!

JG: What can Greyson Zane fans expect from you next?

GZ: They can expect my second EP “444” and a couple of shows in Florida! I’m also back in the studio soon there will be even more music!
