As some of you may know, I wrote a book titled This Dark Chest of Wonders: 40 Years of Stephen King’s The Stand (Cemetery Dance, 2018). The book has led me to some wonderful opportunities, one of which I discuss in my guest appearance in the fourth episode of the podcast The Company of the Mad: The Stand Podcast.
Hosted by author Jason Sechrest, The Company of The Mad: The Stand Podcast is an ongoing panel discussion of King’s post-apocalyptic classic, featuring Tananarive Due (author, EP Horror Noire), Anthony Breznican (writer, Vanity Fair), and Mike Flanagan (writer/director, Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Bly Manor). I’m a fan of all these creatives, and it was an honour to join them to talk about chapters 50-55 of The Stand, along with my time visiting the set of the upcoming CBS All Access Limited Series.
