Stan Lee passed away today at the age of 95. Though he’d been in ill health over the last few years, knowing the legendary Marvel Comics figure won’t appear in another MCU film or utter Excelsior one more time is still sad for all of us Marvel zombies.
Stan was the figurehead for the company for so long. He co-created the greatest heroes in comic history, and established the Marvel method of storytelling that inspired generations. His work has stood the test of time, a modern mythology akin to the Greek Gods of old. Sounds bold? Over the top? If you know your pop culture, you know it’s true.
Rest in Peace, Stan. Thanks for all our dreams.
