Are any of you guys or gals out there watching Castle? It’s one of the more enteraining cop shows on tv these days, thanks to the work of two Canadian actors – Nathan Fillion (as author Richard Castle) and Stana Katic (as cop Kate Beckett). They two of them have that classic David Addison/Maddy Hayes chemistry (google it if you have to), even though the whole “will they or won’t they” thing is getting a little old. On tonight’s episode, which airs at 10pm on ABC, the Marvel Universe makes an appearance on the show (sort of). All summer long, the good folks at Marvel have been talking about a Castle graphic novel, written by Brian Michael Bendis with art from Kelly Sue Deconnick. It turns out the graphic novel, titled Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm actually plays into the episode tonight, which has a bit of a super hero theme going on. I figure the cross promotion is a good example of what we’ll see now that Disney owns both ABC and Marvel.
Castle airs tonight, and Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm is available in stores and on the Marvel App this Wednesday. A crime story written by Bendis – I’ll read that. Will you?
