We’ve had power issues at Biff Bam Pop central so this is just going to be a short update with the weekend numbers. Suffice to say, I was totally off with every prediction I made, with all new releases performing horribly. Fright Night didn’t even make the top 5!
Here were our predictions:
1) Spy-Kids 4: All the Time in the World – $21 million
2) Fright Night – $19 million
3) The Help – $18 million
4) Rise of the Planet of the Apes – $16 million
5) Conan The Barbarian – $14 million
And here are the actuals:
1) The Help – $20 million
2) Rise of the Planet of the Apes – $16 million
3) Spy-Kids 4: All the Time in the World – $12 million
4) Conan The Barbarian – $10 million
5) The Smurfs – $8 million
Hopefully we’ll have a better showin next weekend when the comedy Our Idiot Brother, the action flick Columbiana and the horrific Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark hit theaters. Check out our predictions next Friday!
