Resident Evil: Afterlife – The fourth film in the hugely successful series finds Milla Jovovitch’s Alice continuing her to take down the Umbrella Corporation once and for all, kill a lot of zombies along the way and lead the survivors the post-apocalyptic planet to a place called “Arcadia”.

The American – Anton Corbijn directs and George Clooney stars in this thriller about an assassin whose previous assignment in Sweden went sour so he hides out in the Italian countryside. His idyllic rest soon ends and he has to resume his life as an assassin once more. The film was liked by critics but despised by audiences as there is not a lot of dialogue, and the film has a lot of long shots and takes its time with its story. Not for everyone, but this is definitely the release of the week to check out.

Legendary – This is a family drama that stars Patricia Clarkson and WWE Superstar John Cena. The film follows a teenager who does well in school, trying to reunite with his estranged older brother. He decides to join the high school wrestling team, just like his brother did to have something in common with him. His mother does not approve of him wrestling and is even more upset when she finds out that the estranged brother is coaching her son. The family comes to terms with why they had a falling out in the first place and work together to make the young brother a high-school wrestling champion.

Twelve – This film is directed by Joel Schumacher and stars Chace Crawford, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Emma Roberts and is narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. The film follows a once privileged boy who leaves school to become a drug dealer and follows the depressing lives of the dealer and his customers. The title of the film refers to a drug that is used in the film that also starts a series of events that lead to devastating consequences. The film was panned in its limited release, but hopes to find an audience on DVD.
