The Bounty Hunter – This film stars Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston and is about a bounty hunter who has to go and collect from his ex-wife. His ex-wife is a reporter trying to expose a cover-up of a murder. Soon the both of them are being hunted, and they will have to learn how to work together before they kill each other (That sounds like a cheesy tagline if I do say so myself). The film did not do all that well at the box office, but I think it will find an audience on DVD.
Chloe – This film is from acclaimed director Atom Egoyan and stars Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson and is based on a French film. The film is about a doctor, played by Julianne Moore, who hires an escort named Chloe to find out whether or not her husband is cheating on her. The escort also starts to have feelings for the doctor, and the doctor begins to like the escort as well. Then the doctor abruptly ends the affair which doesn’t sit well with Chloe, as she begins to interfere with the doctor’s life. I find that Egoyan’s films are not easily accessible to mass audiences, but they are worth watching.
Greenberg – Another film from an acclaimed director, this time Noah Baumbach directs Ben Stiller in this comedy/drama about a man recovering from a nervous breakdown who attempts to do nothing with his life. He goes to L.A., where he once lived, to housesit for his brother and look after their dog. In the process, he reconnects with members of his old band, tries to start a relationship with his old flame, and begins a budding romance with his brother’s assistant. The film was not as well received as some of Baumbach’s other films, but if you’re looking for something different, then this is the film for you.
Our Family Wedding – This film stars Forest Whitaker, America Ferrera, Regina King and Carlos Mencia and is about the comic misadventures of planning a wedding. When an African-American man and a Mexican-American woman fall in love and decide to get married, both families battle over the type of wedding to have and what will be included in the wedding which angers the bride and groom as they want their own wedding. This film was not a big hit in theatres, but I think it will find an audience on DVD.

Psych:The Complete Fourth Season – Just in time for fans to catch up on the show before Season Five starts, this series follows the adventures of Shawn and Gus. Shawn is a crime consultant at the Santa Barbara Police Department who has impressed his colleagues so much with his ability to help solve cases that he has convinced a lot of them that he has psychic powers. Gus is Shawn’s best friend and is not sold on Shawn’s abilities. I have never watched an episode of this show, but it has its fans if it’s going into season five.
Until Next Tuesday!
