Terminator: Salvation – I thought the latest instalment of the Terminator franchise was extremely disappointing. The only good thing about the film is the breakout performance of Sam Worthington (you’re going to hear a lot more about him when Avatar gets released later this month). The story is not so much about John Connor (played by Christian Bale), but instead it is about Sam Worthington’s character Marcus Wright. I will not say too much about the plot, as there is a revelation about the Marcus Wright character, but I just did not develop an interest in the story of this film.
Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian – The story is about the exhibits from the Museum of Natural History being moved to the Smithsonian as the Museum of Natural History is closed for renovations. When the exhibits are moved to the Smithsonian, an evil pharaoh comes to life and puts all the exhibits at odds with one another. It’s up to Ben Stiller’s security guard to save the day. The film stars most of the original cast from the first film with a couple of additions, most notably Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart.
Paper Heart – Charlene Yi (who you might remember from Knocked Up) stars in this documentary about love. She travels across America to find out more about the subject that she doesn’t fully understand. Michael Cera also stars in the film.
The Jazz Singer: 30th Anniversary Edition – The story of a Jewish cantor who defies his families wishes and sets out on his own path to become a pop singer. Neil Diamond stars in this film, and for anyone who is a Neil Diamond fan, I’m sure that they would enjoy this DVD as a Christmas present.
Into The Storm – This is a sort of sequel to the other HBO film The Gathering Storm and it takes a look at the life and career of Winston Churchill as World War II is coming to an end. Brendan Gleeson stars as Winston Churchill, and I always like Brendan Gleeson, so it should be worth checking out.
End Game – TNA wrestler Kurt Angle stars in this film. If you like wrestling, you’ll watch it, if you don’t, you won’t (even though the film is not about wrestling, but wrestlers do not always make the best actors)!
Tom Wilson: Bigger Than You – Who is Tom Wilson? Why he is Biff Tannen from the Back To The Future franchise. I have no idea what this film is about, I thought it was cool to see Tom Wilson’s name highlighted on a DVD cover, so it’s on the list!

Better Off Ted: Season 1 – I don’t know anything about this show, as I’ve never watched an episode, but I’ve read on the Internet Movie Database that this show is a cross of The Office and Andy Richter Saves The Universe. If you like either of those shows, then you might want to check this one out.
Saturday Night Live: The Complete Fifth Season – Season Five was notable because it was the first season that it didn’t have two of its biggest stars in John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. I’ve done some reading on this season, and it’s not one of the stronger SNL seasons, so if you purchase this, you are a hardcore SNL fan.
Until Next Tuesday!
