Gondry To Direct The Green Hornet? The word going around Hollywood today is that Michel Gondry, the auteur behind Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind, and a whole bunch of stellar music videos, is in talks with Universal to direct The Green Hornet, due out in 2010 and set to star Seth Rogan. This movie has had its up and downs for months, with Stephen Chow originally signed to direct and play sidekick Kato. Chow stepped down from directing over creative differences, but is still in line to act in the film beside Rogan. If Gondry does sign the deal, expect The Green Hornet to be little more surreal than your typical superhero flick.
Scream Creator Getting Set To Pen Another Trilogy?
There’s been lots of talk over the last few months about a fourth film in the Scream franchise. Director Wes Craven has said he’s open to the idea, as long as the dough and the idea are there. Well, according to Shock Till You Drop, series creator Kevin Williamson has signed to do Scream 4,5 and 6 for the Weinstein Company. If this does indeed happen, hopefully the next film will be a step up from Scream 3, which was the only one not written by Williamson and was the worst of the bunch. More on this in the next few days.
