A few quick notes heading into the weekend:
– it looks as though my quest to see all 5 Best Picture nominees is going to fall short. The Queen is ill, so I’m going to have to wait it out until she’s feeling better and we can hit the movies together. I’ll finish the series, just not in as timely a fashion as I was hoping.
– Rumours abound that the next Superman film has the working title Superman: Unleashed. This coincides with talk this week that the Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix) are in talks to helm a Superman trilogy, an idea which was floated around months ago by comic scribe Mark Millar. There is absolutely no confirmation as to who is involved, be it Millar, the Wachowski Brothers, or Bryan Singer, who brought Superman Returns to theaters back in 2006.
– IGN Movies is reporting that Battlestar Galactica may be returning to the silver screen under the watchful eye of original series creator Gary A. Larson. The big screen version will adapt the 70’s television show, rather than the 21st century reboot, which only has four episodes left in its run after tonight’s broadcast.
