Trailer Time: Unwrap the First Teaser for ‘Lee Cronin’s The Mummy’

In a world where multiple mummy movies are about to hit theaters, Blumhouse strikes first dust with this teaser for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. Part of me thinks Cronin’s name is part of the title to help distinguish it from other mummy-centric projects. It also makes me wonder if the mummy is actually Lee Cronin. Quotation marks exist for a reason. Regardless, Cronin directed Evil Dead Rise, which I loved for its brutality, and his grim touch and visual style are all over this trailer. If you want to know what happened to Katie, you won’t find out in this minute-long trailer. But you will see some curious things, including a large pair of angry claws.

From Blumhouse, Warner Bros., and Atomic Monster, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is slated for release on April 17, 2026.
