Biff Bam Pop! Presents: Dave Bidini of Rheostatics on ‘The Great Lakes Suite’

In the latest episode of Biff Bam Pop! Presents, Andy Burns talks to Rheostatics founding member Dave Bidini about the band’s new album, The Great Lakes Suite.

Here’s the log line: Beloved Canadian rock ensemble, Rheostatics, announce their anticipated upcoming LP, The Great Lakes Suite, is officially set to arrive November 21. The album celebrates the influential band’s incredible 45 year anniversary, and features eighteen tracks of primarily improvised music and spoken word, performed by longtime members Dave Bidini, Dave Clark, Don Kerr, and Tim Vesely, with newer additions Kevin Hearn and Hugh Marsh, alongside legendary guitarist Alex Lifeson.

Dave Bidini is Editor in Chief, President and Chair of the Board of West End Phoenix. He is the only person to have been nominated for a Gemini, Genie, Juno, and CBC’s Canada Reads. A founding member of Rheostatics, he has written 12 books, including On a Cold Road, Tropic of Hockey, Around the World in 57 1/2 Gigs, and Keon and Me.
