Trailer Time: Take A Hit Off This Bong With ‘Mickey 17’

How does it feel to die?

Bong Joon-ho asks, “what if you cloned Batman several times and sent him to space?”

In his new film, Mickey 17, Robert Pattinson dies, and dies, and dies again. The sci-fi comedy from Oscar winner and the master behind Parasite, The Host, Snowpiercer, and Memories of Murder is back with a new feature that sends us into the deep reaches of space. Robert Pattinson plays Mickey Barnes, whose ticket away from the doldrums of Earth is signing up to be an ‘Expendable’, a worker sent on the worst, most dangerous missions with the expectation that he won’t survive them. Each time he doesn’t, he’s cloned and sent on another one, again and again. But when two clones discover each other on accident, well, we’re not sure, but hijinks are sure to ensue.

Based on Edward Ashton’s 2022 novel ‘Mickey 7’ and co-starring Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, and Toni Collette, Mickey 17 looks fantastic, and if I know my Bongs, there’s more than a few twists in store for Mickey, Mickey, Mickey, and Mickey.

Mickey 17 comes to theatres on January 31, 2025 from Warner Brothers.
