Meet The “Beat Bugs” on Netflix

beat-bugs-netflix-header-graphic

Today is the premiere of the first season of Beat Bugs, a new Netflix original series for kids. An ingenious take on the music of The Beatles, the show visualizes the worlds created by the Fab Four in their songs by depicting the adventures of a group of five best friends: Jay, Crick, Walter, Buzz, and Kumi.

Each episode features some of the most well-known Beatles songs reinterpreted with an impressive array of artists like P!nk, Sia, Aloe Blacc, Eddie Vedder, Robbie Williams, James Corden, The Shins, Frances, and The Lumineers, with more artists joining in for Season 2 (which will premiere on November 18).

Here is the trailer for Season 1.

If that isn’t enough to get you excited, check out this great behind the scenes look at the series and its creator Josh Wakely, as well as some of the voice actors and musical stars.

I wish this show had been around when I was a kid!
