A rated-R trailer for the upcoming reboot/prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 horror classic The Thing was released today. The buzz hasn’t been entirely negative for the film, which stars Joe Edgerton (Warrior) and the fantastic Mary Elizabeth Winstead (the 2011 version of Winona Ryder circa Heathers, in my humble opinion). The plot is pretty clear, and there is some gore to be seen, but this actually looks like a decent horror film, which we’re definitely in need of. Take a look at the trailer for The Thing below and then take our latest poll.
