Figure Friday: New Year, New Toys, Old Fan Favourites

Welcome to 2026! We’re ushering in a new year with fresh preorders on some classic IP. We’ve got icons from the ’80s, ’90s & 2000s in four different scales. From Asmus to Zombie Sailor, here’s the toys worth considering this week.

Two animated characters, Beavis and Butt-Head, sitting on a red couch, wearing t-shirts with 'SKUIL' and 'DEATH ROCK' printed on them, with snacks and a lamp in the background.

Mondo Squads – Beavis and Butt-Head

If you’re looking for the only Beavis and Butt-Head figures you’ll ever need, look no further. These nine-inch figures have damn near every accessory you could ask for, including a couch and TV. I love the head-banging portraits! Mondo has previously released a set of Daria & Jane figures. This set would look great alongside those if you want to build a shrine to MTV Animation. They’ll be available Tuesday, January 20th at Noon EST. Get notified when it’s available on Mondo’s site.

This special Limited Edition set is restricted to just 1,250 units.

A tribute to Mike Judge’s MTV classic, the Mondo Squads – Beavis and Butt-Head Figure Set comes complete with a Butt-load of accessories inspired by our favourite moments from the show’s history.

Army of Darkness from Zombie Sailor’s Toys

Zombie Sailor’s Toys has been turning out some really fun figures in the old WWF Hasbro style. Their latest release honours the Sam Raimi Classic Army of Darkness! You can get Evil Ash, the Pit Witch or Ash with your choice of hands: Mechanical or Chainsaw. There’s a lot of detail in these 4.5-inch figures, and they look great on-card or off. Expect them to start shipping in March.

A collectible action figure of Ash Williams from 'Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn', featuring a character with a chainsaw for a hand and holding a book, standing on a display base.

Evil Dead 2 Ash 1/6 Scale Figure from Asmus Toys

Looking for a little more bang in your Boom-Stick? Let’s take it back even further to the second of Raimi’s Evil Dead films and Asmus Toys 1/6 Scale Ash! The Bruce Campbell likeness is on point, and it doesn’t get much better than separated eyeball movement. It’s the ultimate luxury for a figure photographer. Pack in some great accessories, including a chainsaw that magnetically attaches to his wrist, and Ash is ready for whatever Deadite comes his way.

Three action figures from Star Wars: The Black Series, showcasing a tall alien, a short blue creature with wings, and a humanoid figure holding a weapon, set against a black background.

Star Wars Black Series Attack of the Clones

Last but not least, we’ve got a brand new batch of Star Wars Black Series figures. We’re always asking for aliens, and this month we’re getting three of them from Attack of the Clones (though I think this particular Watto is more representative of The Phantom Menace). Taun We, Watto and the Geonosian Warrior are welcome additions to the line, though if we were going to spend so much time on Attack of the Clones, could we have gotten a Dexter Jettster figure as well?
