Holiday Gift Guide 2025 Presents a Festive Figure Friday

The number of Holiday figures released over the last few years is impressive. Nearly every manufacturer has something to offer. From holiday classics to scary ghost stories, there’s fun and fright to be had. Let’s take a look at the best seasonal figures to put on your wishlist in 2025.

Naughty or Nice Collection

Fresh Monkey Fiction has been killing it with their Naughty or Nice Collection. They offer a wide variety of Santa Clauses. From Cyborgs and Pirates to next year’s Santaur, The Naughty or Nice Collection takes big swings and rarely misses. Here are some of the ones I’m looking forward to finding under the tree this year.

Collectible figure of Barbarian Santa from the Naughty or Nice Collection, featuring snowflake tattoos, a polar bear pelt, and an axe.

Barbarian Santa

If anyone’s allowed to have a big belly, it’s Santa. Barbarian Santa is chin up and tits out with snowflake tattoos and a polar bear pelt. I love the reindeer skull on the battle axe!

Great Northern Santa action figure from the Naughty or Nice Collection, featuring a bearded Santa in a plaid shirt, holding an axe, surrounded by accessories like maple syrup, a mug, and cookies.

Great Northern Santa

With a plate full of flapjacks and a bottle of maple syrup, this Santa is ready for the lumberjack shack. A fun spin on the traditional Santa look.

A detailed figurine of Prancer, a reindeer, featuring a harness with shiny ornaments and a red saddle, set against a snowy background with holiday-themed graphics.

Prancer

Santa’s team of reindeer is an expensive investment. That being said, if money were no object (or I could grab a killer deal), I would grab the whole set and have zero regrets. You’d need nine reindeer and the alternate heads pack to pull it off, but it would be a stunning centrepiece for your holiday figure display. Don’t forget to preorder your sleigh!

A black goat demon figure named Gorgon from the Naughty or Nice Collection, featuring red accents and flames on its hooves, alongside a detachable skull head and harness. The background is snowy.

Not Black Philip

They can call this Gorgon the Goat Demon, but we all know this is Black Phillip, from Robert Eggers’ The Witch. If you aren’t interested in a spooky side character that hides in plain sight, you can use the alternate head to create a zombie reindeer. Add the separately purchased saddle, and you’ve got a fun ride for your Zombie Santa!

A snowman figurine with a black top hat and a pink flower, holding a broom in one hand and a carrot nose in the other, stands next to a small white rabbit in a snowy landscape.

Frosty the Snowman by Jada Toys

“Happy Birthday!” Jada Toys Frosty the Snowman is the hottest new addition to the holiday figure aisle this year! Along with Hocus Pocus the rabbit and his magic hat, Frosty the Snowman is ready to head down through the village and into your Christmas figure collection. I’m really digging the television packaging. Gonna be tough to take that one out of the box.

A collectible figure of Clark Griswold from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, dressed as Santa and surrounded by Christmas lights, showcasing various light modes.

Clark Griswold 5 Points by Mezco

If you’re looking for a great Secret Santa gift for an office holiday party, this is a gift that anyone will love. I’m usually not into the generic non-Chevy Chase Clark Griswold figures, but it’s not so bad on a 3.75 figure. The iconic poster image of Clark in a Santa costume being electrocuted by Christmas lights is famously absent from the movie but ever-present in our hearts. This mini diorama captures that image in a fun way to tell everyone in the office that you’re ready to hear their favourite lines from the movie. I’ll set the over/under on “She’s a real beaut, Clark!” At 10 before lunch.

A detailed figure of a mouse king character with multiple rat heads, wearing ornate armor and a red cloak, holding a sword.

Figura Obscura

The Figura Obscura line from Four Horsemen Studios was built around the holidays. This year, they expanded into The Nutcracker with their Mouse King figure. I didn’t know I wanted a seven-headed mouse in my figure collection, but the single-headed mouse gives me David Peteren’s Mouseguard vibes, and that’s something I very much want.

An icy blue figure representing a ghostly character with multiple interchangeable heads, surrounded by accessories including a lantern and separate hands, displayed against a black background.

This year, the Horsemen zigged when we thought they would zag, by going with The Nutcracker as opposed to rounding out Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. However, you can still go back and pick up the previously released Jacob Marley or Ghost of Christmas Past figures in their Haunted Blue colour variations.

A detailed figure of Krampus, wearing a dark red robe with a fur-lined hood, showcasing long horns and a menacing expression. Surrounding the figure are various accessories including multiple hand positions, a snow globe, and other items.

Krampus and Der Klown by NECA

Krampus is a film that introduced mainstream US audiences to the Krampus folklore. The Bad Cop to Santa’s Good Cop, Krampus, “doesn’t give, he only takes.” This is more statue than figure, but it’s a massive 10 inches tall and an effective scared straight tactic if you set up an elaborate Elf on the Shelf display with Krampus as the centrepiece.

A detailed figure of a sinister clown with an exaggerated, gaping mouth, dressed in a colorful costume with polka dots and a ruffled collar, set against a dark background.

If you’d rather have 10 inches in length as opposed to height (Yes, please), might I suggest Der Klown? If you haven’t seen Krampus, Der Klown is one of the many demonic toys unleashed by Krampus on the Engel family. A not-so-hilarious snake like Jack in the box that grows over the course of the movie as it consumes its victims.
