This is quite an exciting day for us Stranger Things fans! This morning, the Stranger Things Season 5 Volume One trailer was officially released, and though I’m excited, I’m pretty nervous.
Stranger Things Season 5 is confirmed to feature an 18-month time jump, during which the Byers have been staying with the Wheelers.
Something I’m pretty excited for is the return of the Byers as main characters. My biggest complaint about Season 4 (which I loved) was that it sidelined not only some of the best characters, but also the best actors. The whole show started due to Will going missing, and Season One was quite centred around Joyce and Jonathan. Winona Ryder, Charlie Heaton and Noah Schnapp have given some of the strongest acting performances in the whole show, and based on the trailer, we’ll be seeing much more of them.
Of course, we really don’t know who might die this season. Popular death theories have spread around, some of which have been in the fandom since Season One, including: Steve, Will, El, Hopper, Joyce, and a newer one that I am starting to believe (much to my despair as he’s my favourite character), Jonathan.
Stranger Things Season Five Volume 1 is releasing on Netflix on November 26th
Volume 2 is releasing on Netflix on December 25th
The finale is releasing on Netflix and in theatres in Canada and the US on December 31st.
