Holiday Gift Guide 2024 Presents Figure Friday: New Figures, Just in Time for the Holidays

With the holidays right around the corner, we’re running out of shipping days for online orders. Unless you’re looking to pay a premium, this weekend is more than likely the last one you have to guarantee Christmas delivery at many online retailers. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some recent in-stock offerings that have made their way onto my wishlist.

Star Wars The Black Series Skeleton Crew

I’ve enjoyed the first three episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The trailers gave Goonies in the Star Wars universe vibes and so far that’s held pretty true. The characters all have personality. We’ve met new species of aliens. There’s a decent mystery building and it’s all been FUN. If you’re looking to extend that fun to your collection, Star Wars Black Series has you covered. There’s figures of all four of the main kids as well as Jude Law’s Jedi(?) character and the werewolf Pirate Captain Brutus. Hasbro also recently announced that we’d be getting the Skeleton Crew’s droid SM-33. That’s a full crew in less than a year. Not too shabby!

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Marvel Legends Pavitr Prabhakar

Spider-Man India was one of the standout Spider-Men in Across the Spider-Verse. His character design was unique and he brought a welcomed fresh voice to the conversation. With the most recent wave of Spider-Verse Legends hitting shelves, you can add Pavitr and his yo-yo to your Spidey collection. The Legends team have done a great job with the detail work and the colors pop nicely. You get a masked and unmasked head, both of which have that impressive waterfall of hair. I look forward to adding Pavitr to Team Spider Gwen in the very near future!

Knight Rider X Transformers Agent Knight

I don’t buy many Transformers, but damn if these collabs don’t get me itchy for some Autobots. Agent Knight perfectly brings KITT to the Transformers universe. It features electronic sounds, phrases and scanner effect lights – in both modes! We’re a drunken Hasselhoff and a cheeseburger away from perfection.

Barbie Signature Music Series Mariah Carey Holiday Version

I don’t want a lot for Christmas. This is all I’m asking for. Who doesn’t want the Queen of Christmas standing right outside their door? Look at this thing! It’s destined to sit atop a Christmas tree altar to her royal highness. I still remember watching commercials for the Mariah Carey Christmas album during Channel One in high school. Shout out Lisa Ling and Anderson Cooper! I don’t care what anyone says, I love that damn song. It’s like peppermint adrenaline that immediately puts me in the Christmas spirit. I hope Santa makes my wish come true and gives me a Mimi!

Anything Four Horsemen Studios

I’m not certain if you can still get orders from Store Horsemen delivered before the holiday, but you can never go wrong with gift cards. (We recently mentioned a big ass dragon that’s going up for preorder in the new year.) I’ve yet to be disappointed with a Four Horsemen figure. If you need something guaranteed under the tree, make sure to look for one of their approved retail partners. The recent retailer appreciation wave dropped which included the fantastic Jacob Marley figure, perfectly themed for the holiday.

Whatever you’re celebrating this year, hold your loved ones close and hold onto those hugs a few seconds longer than you normally would. Let them know you love them. The world could use a little more of that. Happy Holidays, Y’All!
