It’s clear that with the 2025 released of both Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* that Marvel Studios is going back to the grounded films that were more about action and politics rather than gods of legends, space aliens, and wizards (not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
Coming out of D23 Brazil, this extended taste of Thunderbolts* definitely feels in line with the vibe from the real world of the Captain America and Iron Man films, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Here’s the log line, or at least what there is of one so far:
A group of supervillains are recruited to go on missions for the government.
