Will You Experience That Awkward Moment? Biff Bam Pop’s Box Office Predictions

One new film is looking to bust into the top five; will it have the right stuff? Here’s our prediction:

That Awkward Moment has a fantastic cast – Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordon and and Miles Teller (the later two who are roomed to be in the Fantastic Four reboot scheduled for next year). The movie, about three friends who promise to remain single after one of them suffers a break-up, will likely get a decent audience of teens and romantic comedy lovers. Look for it to debut at number one this weekend with $14.5 million.

As for the rest of the top five, Ride Along will drop to number two with $13 million. Frozen will grab third place with $9 million. The Nut Job will hit fourth place with $7 million, while Lone Survivor will close things out in fifth with $5.9 million. The weekend’s other new release, Labor Day, will debut outside the top five.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:

1) That Awkward Moment – $14.5 million
2) Ride Along – $13 million
3) Frozen – $9 million
4) The Nut Job – $7 million
5) Lone Survivor – $5.9 million
