Can The Other Woman Stop Captain America? Biff Bam Pop’s Box Office Predictions

Consider this weekend the calm before the storm. No huge blockbusters are being released, so it will be interesting to see if any new films make a dent with audiences. Here’s our predictions.

Three new films are looking for your money. The Other Woman is a comedy staring Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann (and also featuring supermodel Kate Upton for all the dudes in the audience); Brick Mansions is the last completed film Paul Walker made before his tragic death last fall; and The Quiet Ones is a moody horror film from the folks at Hammer. None of these have any real buzz going for them so I wouldn’t expect too much from any of the three. The only one that may make some form of dent is The Other Woman, which should debut at number four with $13.5 million. Brick Mansion should hit fifth place with $10 million, while The Quiet Ones will likely debut outside the top five.

As for the rest of the top five, Captain America: The Winter Soldier should manage to hold onto the top spot again with $19 million. Rio 2 will be behind it with $15 million, while Heaven is for Real with be close in third with $14.5 million.

2) Rio 2 – $15 million
3) Heaven is for Real – $14.5 million
4) The Other Woman – $13.5 million
5) Brick Mansions – $10 million
