The Best Man Holiday vs Thor – Biff Bam Pop’s Box Office Predictions

A quick box office prediction entry for this week, as only one film is trying to topple the thunder of Thor.

The Best Man Holiday is the sequel to 1999’s The Best Man, a film I don’t believe I’ve ever heard of. On the plus side, it does have an outstanding cast, including Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnut and Nia Long. With The solid cast that will draw in its target demo, look for a second place showing with $18 million.

As for the rest of the top five, Thor: The Dark World is an easy lock for number one, and with the decent word of mouth it’s having, I’m predicting the film will bring in $42 million in its second weekend in theatres. Last Vegas will hit third place with $8 million, Free Birds should grab fourth with $7.5 million, while Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa will close things out in fifth with $7.2 million.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:
