When you’re wrong, you’re wrong, and in the case of the box office predictions this week, I was way off. Here’s what went down.

As for the rest of the top five, Django Unchained claimed the second spot, bringing in $20 million and upping its North American total to $106 million. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey fell from first to third place with $17 million for a total of $263 million in a month. Les Miserables hit fourth spot with $16 million, bringing its total to $103 million, while Parental Guidance closed out the top five with $10 million for a total of $52 million.
Meanwhile, Matt Damon’s Promised Land could only muster up $4 million and a tenth place showing.
