I know what I’m seeing this weekend. Do you? Will it be one of the new releases that are out? More dinos? Will do you be dealing with some emotions? I think we can guess what moviegoers as a whole are going to be flocking to – here’s our prediction:
Also out this weekend are Self/Less with Ben Kingsley and Ryan Reynolds in a sci-fi switcheroo flick that is entering into a very crowded summer season. Both this and horror film The Gallows are going to have tough time finding a significant audience and will likely debut outside the top five.
As for the films that will make up the rest of the top five, Inside Out should be in second place with $20 million. Jurassic World will be close behind it in third with $18 million as it inches closer and closer to the $600 million mark in North America. Terminator: Genisys will continue to underperform and hit fourth place with $12 million, while Magic Mike XXL will close things out in fifth with $10 million.
So, to recap, here are our predictions:
1) Minions – $125 million
2) Inside Out – $20 million
3) Jurassic World – $18 million
4) Terminator: Genisys – $12 million
5) Magic Mike – $10 million
Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!
