The Craft Casts a Spell on Blu-Ray + More New Releases

We’re always pretty busy on the site that things sometimes fall by the wayside. In my case, it’s some of the new films that have recently hit Blu-ray. On that note, here a rundown on a few newer releases worth checking out:

The Craft Collectors Edition (Scream Factory):

The cult classic recently got the deluxe treatment from our friends at Scream Factory and for longtime fans of the 20+ year old film (man, I feel seriously old), grabbing The Craft on Blu-ray is a no-brainer. It definitely holds up and manages to remain both creepy and entertaining. Here’s hoping the upcoming reboot is more of a sequel, and we can revisit the core four characters years later. Among the features included on the disc:

Aquaman (Warner Brothers Home Entertainment):

DC films back on track to making money and entertaining audiences. It started with Wonder Woman, fell flat with Justice League, and then rebounded again with Aquaman. Jason Momoa is fantastic as the title character, and the film’s success in theatres bodes well for the DC film universe. The new Blu-ray/digital set includes the following special features:

The Mule (Warner Brothers Home Entertainment):

The Fox News crowd ate up The Mule when it hit theatres back in December. It helped that it was the first time since 2009’s Gran Torino that Clint Eastwood both starred in and directed a film. The movie wound up grossing $167 million worldwide off of a budget of $50 million, proving the 88 year old Eastwood continues to have clout. Special features for The Mule include:
