What Sort of Activity Will The Marked Ones Scare Up? Biff Bam Pop’s Box Office Predictions

Only one new release this weekend, but it could be a surprise doozy. Here’s our prediction:

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is a spin-off, not a sequel, but is reportedly catering to the Latino market that has helped the series become a huge hit. The reviews have been very good for the film, with some raving it’s the best of them all. It seems a little early for the film to be released, and people could still be in holiday mode, so this one could go either way. Look for a second place debut with $18 million.

As for the rest of the top five, Frozen will hit number 1 with $21 million. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will drop to three with $16 million. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be fourth with $14 million, while American Hustle will close things out in fifth with $13.5 million.
