This weekend is all about Disney in the pop culture world, thanks to the big D23 event happening in Anaheim, California. This where the mouse is making all their big announcements for the year, and lots have them been pretty cool.
For instance, if you weren’t sold on another new Tron film, your interest might be perked that Nine Inch Nails will be doing the soundtrack for Tron: Ares, which is due out in October 2025. This is big news, as NIN follow in the footsteps of Daft Punk, who did the score for Tron: Legacy. There’s also news that Toy Story 5 is coming in 2026 and Frozen 3 in 2027, plus Incredibles 3 is also in the works.
For the Avatar fans, the title for the 2025 third instalment was revealed to be Avatar: Fire and Ash, and that the film will be in theaters Decembers 19, 2025.
Marvel fans got a taste of new trailers for Captain America: Brave New World and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Leaks are floating around for those, along with trailers for Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again, but knowing they’ll be taken down, we’ll wait to post them until when the official, high-quality versions are available.
You CAN check out the new trailer for Agatha All Along that was shown at D23, which gives us a longer taste of the sequel to WandaVision and which drops its first two episode this September.
For the Star Wars fans, while we don’t have anything official for the big screen adventures of Mandolorian and Grogu, fans did get a trailer for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a kid-centric story that looks damn entertaining to these eyes.
We’ll be keeping our eyes open for more D23 trailers over the course of the weekend, and will share what we find with you. Fingers crossed for a new season of Gravity Falls!
