No doubt all the haters are rolling their eyes because Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time is available on Blu-ray this week. And we’re here to tell you to forget what you heard: A Wrinkle in Time deserves far more accolades than it has received.
For example, Zoe Margolis at CineVue says of the film:
On the surface, A Wrinkle in Time seems standard Disney fare: a family film with a predictable happy ending. But director Ava DuVernay has done much more with the source material, and the result is a beautiful work full of hope and aspirations.
So if you haven’t yet seen the big screen adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s groundbreaking science fiction novel, now’s your chance.
