Watch With Amanda: TV Scoop including an Office spinoff and casting news

– Is Dwight Schrute leaving The Office?  It seems that’s the case… but don’t worry, he won’t be far.  Deadline is reporting that NBC is working on an Office spinoff starring Rainn Wilson as Dwight.  Although nothing is set in stone yet, the plan is to have the show launch in early 2013.  The comedy, which was the brainchild of Wilson and The Office executive producer/showrunner Paul Lieberstein and will revolve around the Schrute family beet farm and bed & breakfast, which has been featured on the show several times.

– Any Sons Of Anarchy fans here?  EW has just announced that Theo Rossi (Juice on SOA) will guest star in an upcoming episode of our new favourite show, Alcatraz.  The actor will appear in Episode 10 as a “business man with a dark side” who was imprisoned at the Rock some 50 years ago.  Sons fans should also stayed glued to Law & Order: SVU.  Tommy Flanagan (Chibs on SOA) has landed a guest role on an upcoming episode as a bookie according to TVDoneWright.com.  Also guest starring in the same SVU episode is one of my favourite characters from The Wire, Isiah Whitlock (Senator Clay “Sheeeeeeit” Davis).

– Ben Stiller is set to star in, direct and executive-produce All Talk, a comedy pilot for HBO centering on “the daily and life-altering dramas” of a Washington, D.C.-based Jewish family, Deadline reports. Alan Alda is in talks to co-star.
