I’m cutting to the chase. Edgar Wright’s The Running Man looks fucking fantastic!
Clearly, this Glen Powell-starring, Edgar Wright-directed version of the Stephen King novel is entirely different from the now-classic 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenneger. And that is a very good thing. That film barely resembled King’s original novel, written under his pseudonym, Richard Bachman. Based on what we’re seeing here, The Running Man 2025 is significantly closer to the original source material and not just a retread.
