Figure Friday: Marvel Legends Delivers a Punisher Figure Straight Outta Hell’s Kitchen

It’s Figure Friday..again. If you haven’t read Josh’s thorough breakdown of the ever-evolving, perpetually painful tariff situation from last week, go do that now. I don’t have much more to say about the situation that Josh hasn’t already said, and I’m kind of glad he beat me to it. I don’t think I could have conveyed my feelings about the whole ordeal without a liberal dose of profanity. It would also probably get me bumped closer to the top of whatever list I’m already on.

Personally, I’m moving into more of an ad hoc collecting posture, which sounds a smidge better than “wait and see.” I went absolutely nuts with the preorders over the last few months; even those aren’t safe from cancellation. Collecting toys is very much a triviality and something I can go without. I’ve seen a shit load of smooth-brained tariff takes on the various action figure subreddits I lurk on. For those folks, it’s tunnel vision writ large; they can’t see how this is impacting literally every facet of daily life, like the price of one of my prescriptions jumping substantially in the last month.

Anyway, while I may be stepping back from collecting, Figure Friday will continue unabated. Nothing can stop us from writing about the inherent coolness of toys—unless all the toy companies go out of business…

Daredevil: Born Again Marvel Legends The Punisher

“It’s Frank!”

Daredevil: Born Again wrapped up this week. What a ride that show was, eh? I’ll admit that I was a bit surprised that Disney+ matched a lot of the intensity that the show had during its initial three-season Netflix run. It definitely ranks high in the pantheon of Disney+ MCU shows, that’s for sure.

An unquestionable high point in a show full of high points was the long overdue return of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. I’m not much of a fan of The Punisher comics but Bernthal’s portrayal of Castle is so damn interesting, nuanced, and complex it elevates the source material.

So, of course, we need an up-to-date action figure, right?

After his family was murdered in a criminal government conspiracy, US Marine veteran Frank Castle turns vengeful vigilante and ally to Daredevil — that is, when their interests align.

Bring the excitement and wonder of the Marvel Universe to your collection with Hasbro Marvel Legends Punisher action figure! This collectible 6-inch scale Marvel figure is detailed to look like the character’s appearance in Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again.

Figure is fully articulated with premium design and poseable head, arms, and legs. Marvel action figure set comes with 5 accessories, including a set of alternate hands and 3 weapon accessories. Hasbro Marvel action figures’ 6 inch scale make them great for displaying in fans’ collections.

“Hey, lemme AXE you something’...”

The digital renders of the figure look fantastic, and if the final product looks half as good as the renders, it seems like we’re going to be getting one of the best Marvel Legends of all time. I’d have liked to see the figure come with a bit more ordinance but I have to admit the hatchet the figure comes with is pretty damn cool. Plus, I’m sure you’ll be able to swap out some GI Joe weapons to beef up Frank’s arsenal.

The Punisher is up for preorder now and should be hitting shelves in December.
