Breaking News from the Uncontroversial Opinions Department: In the house (website) we are pro-Mike Allred.
Personally, my love of his work goes all the way back to the Madman issues published by Tundra, and it just took off from there. Not one to be outdone, Biff Bam Pop! EiC Andy “Big Money” Burns has a commissioned piece of Mike Allred’s work adorning the walls of his palatial Toronto estate. I don’t know if I’ve ingratiated myself enough to Andy to work my way into his will (or if I’ll even outlive him) but I’m calling dibs on that. (Editor’s Note: We can discuss this.)
This is all to say that there’s a Kickstarter campaign launching soon from Clover Press Art that you simply must check out. The Marvel Art of Michael Allred gathers together 200 pages of comic art from over TWO decades of his work for the publisher.
