31 Days of Horror 2021 Presents Trailer Time: “Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City”

At the moment I’m reading an advance copy of You’ve Got Red on You: How Shaun of the Dead by Clark Collis. It tells the complete tale of how Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright created one of the most enduring films of the last twenty years, a slice of London life combined with a zombie apocalypse. While the films of George Romero had a massive impact on the duo, late night playing the classic survival horror video game Resident Evil also had a hand.

Which brings us to a new Resident Evil live action film, rebooted from the previous franchise which starred Mila Jovovich and was mainly directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. That series was a financial success, though critics didn’t give the various films much love.

Will things change with Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City? We’ll find out when the new film arrives when it arrives in theatres Friday, November 24th.
