Trailer Time: A New Look At CBS’ ‘Clarice’

A few weeks back we shared the short teaser trailer for the upcoming CBS series Clarice, based on the Thomas Harris’ beloved character, Clarice Starling. Jodie Foster brought Clarice to life in Silence of the Lambs (1991), and Julianne Moore essayed the role ten years later in Hannibal. For the new series, which picks up a few years after the events in Silence of the Lambs, Rebecca Breeds takes on the title character. Today, we have a longer look at the new show.

Clarice is a deep dive into the untold personal story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field in 1993, one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice’s bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. However, her complex psychological makeup that comes from a challenging childhood empowers her to begin to find her voice while working in a man’s world, as well as escape the family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.

Clarice debuts on CBS Thursday, February 11th.
