Before everyone settles in to watch the Big Game tonight, we’ve got to go over the weekend winners at the box office. And really, there aren’t any big surprises.
Bad Boys For Life held on to the top spot for the third weekend in a row, bringing in an estimated $17.9 million. That raises the film’s total to an outstanding $148 million. It should get pretty close to the $200 million mark before the end of its North American run at the box office, setting the stage for a fourth instalment.
As for the rest of the top five, 1917 was in second place with $9.6 million. Dolittle followed in third with $7.7 million. New release Gretel and Hansel was pretty much DOA, debuting in fourth place with an underwhelming $6.05 million. The Gentlemen closed things out in fifth place with $6 million.
Blake Lively’s The Rhythm Section debut outside the top five, landing in eighth with just $2.8 million.
So, to recap, here were our predictions:

3) Dolittle – $6.5 million
4) The Rhythm Section – $5.5 million
5) Gretel and Hansel – $5 million
