Biff Bam Pop’s Princess reviews The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game

Our friends at WB and LEGO are always releasing outstanding video games that are legit fun for the whole family. In my case, the arrival of a new game like LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game always means sitting down with my little princess in front of  our tv and PlayStation 4 and getting our game on.

Princess: Hey, why not the 3?! We also play games on the PlayStation 3.

Oh, hello there. I see you’re sitting next to me as I’m writing this article about the new LEGO Ninjago Video Movie Game that we’ve been playing.

Princess: Ok, yeah.

Well, I think we started playing these games a few years ago with LEGO Star Wars, isn’t that right?

Princess: Oh yeah.

And then since then we’ve played LEGO Dimensions, which you love!

Princess: (Laughing) Yeah! You have to get us the Teen Titans GO! set! And the Power Puff Girls!

Right, I’m working on it for our Holiday Gift Guide,  but we’re not talking about those today. We’re actually talking about the LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game, remember?

Princess: Yes.

So, I thought the game was really fun right away.

Princess: But kind of hard. The moves are kind of hard to master.

Really, you think so?

Princess: It’s just hard to get the buttons right. Like when you trying to push buttons like square circle x, it’s a little hard.

Well, I think you did pretty well for your first few plays. Why don’t you tell everyone reading what the game is about?

Princess: It’s about when you’re these super cool ninjas and you’re trying top defeat this guy, Garmadon. You’ve got to try and stop him from taking over the city.

What did you think of the graphics.

Princess: Cool! Good! You can use a grapple hook.

What does that mean?

Princess: You could use your grapple hook to get to other places. And you can run up walls!

Yeah, that’s pretty cool. What did you think of playing two players, like you and I did?

Princess: Well, I didn’t like that we couldn’t change players when you’re playing two players when we first started.

That’s fair. If you had to pick one part of the game so far that’s you’re absolutely favourite part, what would it be?

Princess: The part where you can grapple and run up walls and hang on things. That’s pretty fun.

Do you think other kids would like this game?

Princess: Yup.

Here’s a question. Did playing the LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game make you want to go see the movie?

Princess: Yes, because it looks super cool, and one of the characters has a dragon to ride around on!

Is there anything else you want to say about this game?

Princess: Nope.

As for me, I was extremely impressed with the graphics on display. The LEGO Ninjago world is unique and playing around in it was a lot of fun for adult me. Villains come at you at a quick clip, which makes this game a little harder than some of the previous ones the Princess and I have tag teamed. But hearing her genuinely laugh out loud while throwing out some ninja moves makes up for the challenges.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game is out now on PlayStation 4.
