Looks like somebody’s been watching John Wick. And taking notes. The trailer for Netflix’s The Punisher dropped yesterday, and it looks perfectly brutal. Jon Bernthal was born to play Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. Absolutely the best thing about the second season of Daredevil, he’s getting his own standalone series now. And it ought to be a good sight better than The Defenders, without the weight of juggling so many conflicting leads.
The story picks up after Frank has exacted revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children. He uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher (with that glorious skull painted on his chest), he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone. Dig it:
