It’s HERE – Evil Dead is getting a massive overhaul at the first red band (and high quality) trailer is here at LAST. I’ve already waxed poetic about the Evil Dead franchise; but this – this movie is something different.
Fans probably heard about the leaked footage from the NYC Comic Con but at last an official Trailer is here. This trailer promises the Evil Dead we’ve all been dying for… hearkening back to the first film’s atmospheric spook, and pumped up with a massive effects budget and some smart camera techniques, this is officially my #1 MUST SEE movie of 2013.

A relatively unknown director, Fede Alvarez, has taken on the chalenge of reinventing one of my favourite horror franchises. Although I haven’t seen it, his previous film Panic Attack (about giant robots invading a South American city) is supposed to be pretty good. I certainly have no complaints about his choices from what I see in this trailer…. except for the woefully distant release date: April 12th, 2013.
It looks like the ‘Ash’ role hasn’t been completed disposed of either. While this film has no ‘Ash’ character, there is a male lead (Shiloh Fernandez) who seems to share some of the heros tendencies. Also, we get to see a female play (Jane Levy) the classic hand possession role in the new film… I can’t wait!

This is going to be another piece of crap remake. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell just want to ride the remake money train along with all the other greedy Hollywood bastards. no thanks, besides they already remade Evil Dead, it’s called Evil Dead 2.
